Tie the Knot at an Incredible Château in Luberon Regional Natural Park

The setting makes your wedding day perfect in many ways, and few other venues can deliver the same remarkable impact as Château de Sannes. Not only is it situated in the hilly landscape of the Luberon National Park, but the estate oozes natural beauty. From the plane tree-lined drives and olive tree groves to the fields of lavender and rolling hills of vineyards, this place is truly a natural playground in which to share your love. 

Despite being only 45 minutes from Marseille airport, this place really delivers the best Provence has to offer and engulfs you in stereotypical French rural bliss. 

We’ve recently had the pleasure of working at this incredible venue (more on this later), and we just thought it would be worthwhile to throw a larger spotlight on it for couples considering either local or destination weddings in Southern France. 

Enjoy a Beautiful Wedding at a Historic Château and Estate Near Aix-en-Provence

While this estate is now a noteworthy winery and organic farm, which adds to the natural beauty of this wedding location, those endeavours are actually relatively recent. Much of the estate is actually hundreds of years old and holds historical significance. 

The castle (château) at the centre of the estate started life as a pavilion and was constructed in 1603 by Jean de Thibaud de Tisati, advisor to the king. His son’s niece then set about turning it into a spectacular manor house with a phenomenal and meticulously maintained formal garden and pond added in 1661. Many of the stone structures (and the stone surrounds of the pond) are hundreds of years old and, together with the incredible setting, make for a genuinely one-of-a-kind French wedding venue. 

Given the size and scale of the estate, there are so many options available to you regarding your wedding day. From sprawling lawns to manicured formal gardens, we recommend an outdoor ceremony here – and you can pick your spot, giving you total flexibility.  

You can again choose your location for the reception, with a couple of indoor event spaces available. They feature old stone walls and arches and are an excellent choice for weddings in the shoulder seasons of spring or autumn. However, there is plenty of space for al fresco dining and dancing, with the courtyard around the back of the main château a popular choice. 

Regarding on-site facilities, there’s an outdoor pool, an incredible indoor pool area complete with a glass roof, indoor foliage, and a centuries-old stone terrace surround. There is also on-site accommodation available for you and your guests. Catering is also included in your wedding booking and is provided by the renowned Roland Paix. 

Fête24 Delivers Wedding Event Production Services to Château de Sannes

As mentioned, we’ve recently had the pleasure of working at this incredible venue for a multi-day wedding celebration. We provided a massive range of wedding event production services, and you can read our full write-up of our work at Château de Sannes here.

A lot of our work was moving equipment around the site across the 3 days supplying and installing lighting, sound and DJ equipment in multiple areas. However, we provided all kinds of technical event infrastructure from power to createring equipment & an installation of our gigantic 22.2m x 10m Stretch Tent, which housed our rustic wooden farm tables and crossback chairs for the dining and wedding speeches portion of the celebration.
