Sound System and Small Lighting Package Provided for Chateau Wedding in Gironde

Nestled between the small towns of Moulon and Branne and just 10 km from Saint-Émilion is the Chateau de Garde, one of the venues we recently had the pleasure of working at.

In a secluded position amongst the Bordeaux region’s vineyards, this spectacular 18th-century chateau was the venue for a wedding reception, for which we were selected to provide various aspects of technical event production.

So, without further ado, let’s walk you through the work we undertook for this event.

Just to reiterate, this exclusive-hire venue really is perfect for events. It has extensive grounds (perfect for services such as wedding marquee hire) and some fascinating outdoor spaces for wedding and party receptions.

There’s an open-sided stone barn perfect for DJs and dancing, but the showstopper for us is the open-air courtyard, which features black and white chequered flooring, four enormous palm trees, a stone water fountain, and two imposing stone arches.

It was here that we were tasked with the first aspect of our event production services. We were asked to supply a PA system and microphones for the outdoor ceremony. We provided a Bose S1 PA system for this particular request and paired it with some Shure wireless handheld radio microphones.

Next, we were in charge of providing a more powerful sound equipment hire option for the evening entertainment in the barn.

We went for our top-class d&b audiotechnik Q7s mids and tops, pairing them with Q series subs. We also provided a small lighting hire package to provide a more engaging dance floor environment, including helix lighting fixtures, moving heads, and LED par can bar systems.

With this enticing setup (and undoubtedly some alcoholic beverages), the dancing didn’t require much encouragement and wedding guests partied long into the early hours. We loved working at this venue and are thrilled to have made their select list of approved wedding suppliers. We look forward to coming back next summer for more weddings, parties, and events.
