Château du Grand-Lucé is one of those rare Loire Valley venues that stops people in their tracks. An 18th-century neoclassical estate set in 80 acres of formal gardens, woodland and a private lake, it has the kind of quiet grandeur that destination couples from the UK and beyond look for. On 20–21 July 2026 we were on site with Dentelle Events supplying a 9 m × 4 m seamless ivory dance floor finished with a custom monogram.

A tight three-hour window

The schedule was tight. We arrived in the morning and had to work carefully around other suppliers coming and going. Once the reception area was clear, we had roughly three hours to get everything down, aligned and finished before the next phase of the day began.

The floor was a seamless ivory surface with the couple’s monogram integrated into the centre. Because it was a continuous finish rather than modular panels with visible joins, the install needed to be precise. We also added a discreet package of wireless uplighting around the space to soften the architecture and give the room a warmer evening atmosphere.

Everything was delivered, installed and left ready for the evening without disruption to the rest of the supplier schedule.

Working with Dentelle Events

Dentelle Events ran a clean, organised day. Clear communication beforehand and on site made the short turnaround achievable. Since the wedding they have already been back in touch about fairy lighting, sound and staging for another project, so it looks like this may be the start of a longer working relationship.

Practical notes on the venue

Château du Grand-Lucé sits in the village of Le Grand-Lucé, roughly 30 minutes from Le Mans TGV station and about two hours from Paris. The estate offers exclusive use, a grand ballroom converted from the old stables, formal gardens and on-site accommodation. Access for vans is straightforward, but like most historic properties the loading routes and timing need to be coordinated carefully with the venue team and other suppliers.
