The cost of hiring a wedding DJ in France will depend on a number of factors. However, you can expect to spend in the region of €1,000 – €3,000 for a professional wedding DJ, with the average coming in at €1,200. This cost usually includes expenses such as travel, food and drink, sound & lighting equipment, and accommodation on top of their performance fee. 

As mentioned above, several factors influence the overall cost of hiring a wedding DJ, so let's briefly cover them in a little more detail. 

The Distance to Travel 

Obviously, the further away the DJ is from your wedding venue, the more it is likely to cost you to hire them for your wedding. If you plan to have a wedding in France and want a DJ to fly over to France then make sure to factor in the costs of flying out a DJ from your home country to France & triple check visa requirements.

The Equipment Supplied

Some DJs will insist that they bring a full array of professional equipment with them, as they are most comfortable with the setup they have created for themselves. Supplying this equipment is a cost which they then pass on to you.

Consequently, DJs often request accommodation expenses so they can rest after a long night of keeping the party going. By putting them up on-site at your wedding venue, you may be able to negotiate the accommodation fee out of their quote. 

The Type of Wedding DJ You Hire 

You might not realise it, but there are several different types of wedding DJs. Some are performance artists in their own right and often command a higher fee for their experience and reputation. 

By contrast, others specialise in specific genres of music, with the most specialised requesting higher fees than those offering to play a mix of more generic pop hits and the so-called "wedding classics."
