We recently had the pleasure of installing one of our stretch tents for a wedding celebration in Le Fleix, in the Dordogne region. This was unusual for us because the venue wasn’t an “official” wedding venue, many of which we have supplied our services to in recent months, including Château du Raysse and Château de Robernier.

Nonetheless, it was a stunning setting and the perfect spot for a more intimate wedding celebration. So, let’s tell you all about it and our involvement in the celebrations.

Perfect Location in Dordogne to Tie the Knot

Before we discuss the specifics of the setup we provided and installed, it’s worth elucidating a little more about this quaint little venue. It was just a stone’s throw from the River Dordogne on the outskirts of Le Fleix and perhaps best described as an old farm-cum-château. 

It had plenty of on-site accommodation (and advertises itself primarily as holiday accommodation for large groups), a space for entertaining (where we erected the stretch tent), and a swimming pool complete with a terrace.

It was the perfect location for our celebrating couple, and we loved the change of pace from the grandeur of the large wedding châteaus where we often work. But enough about the location, let’s delve more into the specific wedding event production services we provided on the day. 

Wedding Stretch Tent Hire Services Provided in Dordogne Region 

Regarding the specific wedding stretch tent hire services we provided, in consultation with the bride and groom, we opted for a 10m x 7.5m canvas stretch tent. Of course, that’s not all. We also provided hessian flooring throughout and finished off the perimeter of the tent with our oversized festoon lighting. 

As is always the case with these setups, the tent looked better and better as the day wore on and really came to life in the so-called “golden hour” before sunset. The orange hues from the fading sun made the lights “pop” and give off such a magical aura for the celebrations unfolding underneath the canopy.

For those who don’t know, we provide two sizes of stretch tents (three different tent sizes for 2025 onwards but more on that in another blog post soon), which we feel are an excellent and more cost-effective alternative to a conventional marquee. The first one (provided for this event) is the 10m x 7.5m. But we also stock the more extensive 15m x 10m canopy or for larger events our 22.5m X 10m stretch tents which is perfect for big weddings & party celebrations. 

However, that’s about to change. We’ve recently invested in a huge 28m x 12m sail tent that can accommodate wedding parties with well over 250 seated guests (depending on table layouts). It’s not with us yet, but we’ll let you know when it is and will be available for hire for events in 2025/26.
