Fête24 Provides Extensive Wedding Event Production Services to Wedding in Cazoulès

As an events business that recently started operating in the South of France, we’ve already seen our fair share of incredible wedding venues, and Chateau du Raysse in Cazoulès is no exception.

This venue is actually a medieval castle dating back to 1155, strategically placed just a stone’s throw from the Dordogne River. The building is architecturally stunning inside and out, and the grounds are impressive, too. There are quaint and secluded terraces, formal gardens, and not one but two swimming pools. This place really has it all and is perfect for hosting a wedding reception or party.

That’s why we were thrilled to be enlisted to help with the event production of a wedding held here over the summer. We provided quite a few different elements to help bring the couple’s wedding vision to life, so let’s tell you more about our work at this beautiful venue.

Fête24 Provides Sound and Lighting Hire to Wedding Reception in the Dordogne

The first element of event equipment we were tasked with supplying, installing, and overseeing was the PA system for the wedding speeches and evening entertainment.

For this endeavour, we opted for a range of trusted d&b audiotechnik Q series speakers, complemented by subs and amps to give the necessary power and depth of sound. We supplemented this sound setup with a few wireless Shure mics for the speeches and ran everything through an Allen & Heath mixing desk.

Our attention then turned to creating a “magical” ambience for the reception area, with a fairy light canopy. We constructed this canopy (which was over 30m long!) by erecting black metal support poles at 5m intervals that supported the hundreds of criss-crossed fairy lights. As the sun began to set, the canopy really came into its own, delivering a warm glow that worked perfectly for this balmy evening reception.

The next stage of our event brief involved a different area of the outdoor reception. Whereas the fair light canopy area had been for the cocktail hour and early stages of the reception, we were also tasked with providing the technical event production aspects of the dinner and dancing portion of the wedding.

We started by running a few bands of oversized festoon lights across the area via wooden supports to keep the warm ambience we had already created with our work on the light canopy.

Our attention then turned to the dance floor. We provided our 6m x 4m dance floor rental option, with black and white chequered panels to add to the “wow” factor. Lastly, we provided a full sound system (again from the best in the business, d&b audiotechnik) and installed a modest disco lighting package to bring more energy to the dance floor area.

Everything went off without a hitch, and it was an absolute pleasure to work with the on-site team, who were more than helpful and accommodating to our crew. We can’t wait to return next wedding season and do it all again!
