Fête24 Provides Extensive Event Production Services to Wedding in Castillon-Du-Gard

This past summer saw our experienced team working at one of the Gard region’s premier event venues, Hotel Le Vieux Castillon. 

The high-end hotel, restaurant, and spa complex boasts a reputation that extends far beyond the South of France, having been the star of the UK TV show First Dates Hotel and dubbed the “most romantic hotel in France.” With stunning views across Gard and being within easy reach of the world-famous Pont du Gard, it’s no wonder no many couples choose to tie the knot here. 

We were fortunate enough to be selected to provide an extensive suite of event production services to elevate a wedding the hotel’s events team required extra support with. Our work included but wasn't limited to sound equipment hire, lighting hire, and DJ equipment rental.

So let’s delve into a little more detail regarding the work we undertook and this special celebration.

Sound Equipment Provided for Touching and Intimate Wedding Ceremony

The ceremony was an intimate affair that took place under one of the hotel’s centuries-old trees in the quiet courtyard adjacent to the pool area. With that in mind, we set up an understated but powerful sound system to provide the celebrant, bride, and groom with crystal-clear sound for the ceremony and vows.

For the PA system, we supplied a small EV ZLX 12a active speaker system accompanied by a ZXa1 subwoofer. We then paired that setup with a wireless Shure UR4D handheld radio mic, which the team controlled via an Allen & Heath ZED10 mixing desk.

We’re happy to report the ceremony went off without a hitch and benefitted from crystal clear sound (no ear-splitting mic feedback or audio stuttering!).

Fête24 Helps Get the Party Started by Supplying DJ Equipment and Lighting Setup

With the ceremony out of the way, it was time for the meal and, later, dancing. We were busy the night before, setting everything up to create a top-notch space for the DJ to perform and ramp up the energy of the evening celebrations.

On the sound side, we supplied d&b audiotechnik Q series system, with a pair of Q subs and Q7 mid tops, both driven and controlled via a pair of D12 amps. Given the compact reception area, it's fair to say that this was more than enough to deliver the punch needed for the dancing attendees.

Regarding DJ equipment, we supplied what many consider the industry standard-setter for all-in-one systems: the Pioneer XDJ-XZ. It was then on us to create the entire DJ booth space and lighting setup.

We supplied and installed one of our all-black DJ booths, which worked perfectly with the deep blue colour scheme we had created with a suite of wireless LED uplighters. We added a disco lighting ensemble that comprised four 150W helix lighting fixtures, which provided some extra interest and excitement for the dance floor area.
