Fête24 Provides DJ Services and Event Production to Château Wedding Near Lanouaille

We recently had the privilege of working at a wedding event that took place at the beautiful Chateau la Durantie near Lanouaille in the East Dordogne region.

It’s a truly stunning setting for a wedding, and is well-suited to destination weddings in particular with on-site accommodation for up to 44 guests on the grounds. The facilities are spectacular, with a modern outdoor swimming pool area, full-size tennis courts, and over 15,000 square feet of luxurious living space.

We were thrilled to get the chance to work at this gorgeous venue in partnership with the incredible Julia Hatton, of Chatelaine Events, who was the dedicated wedding planner. For this event, we provided several different aspects of event production, so let’s tell you about each of them.

Sounds Systems and Event Lighting Hire Provided for Wedding in Dordogne Region

Our initial focus was the ceremony, for which we supplied one of our standard outdoor PA systems and some handheld wireless mics for the speeches. We then shifted those speakers to play some gentle background music while the bride, groom, and their guest dined during the evening.

However, our main task was the technical event production requirements for the evening entertainment. The music and dancing were being held in a separate location, the barn.

Space was at a premium, so we decided the best approach was to set up our coveted d&b audiotechnik Q series sound system, complete with Q7 midtops and Q subs. We then paired that with our all-in-one XDJ-XZ DJ controller to give the DJ the perfect equipment setup. Everything was housed in and around one of our black DJ booths and then we moved onto setting up the lighting.

Again, as space was limited, we went for the biggest impact by rigging two helix disco lights in each corner, to throw out all kinds of colours and shapes and enhance the excitement factor in this space.

English-Speaking DJ Provided to Destination Wedding in South of France

While much of the work described above was very much “par for the course” from us, it was nice to provide one of our newer additions to our services – providing the DJ himself.

We now boast an extensive list of partner DJs, many of whom are English-speaking and/or bilingual. This event being a destination meant we supplied one of our very talented English-speaking DJs who, we’re delighted to report, the happy couple felt was an excellent fit from the get-go. He kept the floor filled all night long and there was dancing well into the small hours.

Overall, the event was a massive success. Julia and her team really pulled it all together, and of course we were thrilled to play a small but meaningful part in the celebration. We look forward to working with both Julia and Chateau la Durantie again in the near future now we’re on their preferred supplier’s list.
