Fête24 Provides Dance Floor Rental Services to Château Wedding in Cognac Region

Returning to one of our favourite wedding venues a few months ago was an absolute pleasure. We are, of course, talking about No. 3 The Chateau, a stunning property and events venue that has been painstakingly restored by its British owners (who are also lovely, by the way). 

After we delivered a backline hire package for one of their weddings last year, we were invited back to supply more of our wedding production services – in this case, a super sleek chequered dance floor – to this incredible venue in Salles d’Angles. 

So let’s tell you all about it! 

Dance Floor Hire Package Supplied to Stunning French Wedding Venue in Charente Region

As a quick refresh, this venue has lots of spaces that lend themselves well to a wedding celebration, and there’s also luxurious on-site accommodation, a stunning pool area, and a show-stopping outdoor courtyard just in front of the grand and imposing main building. It really is a perfect spot for a destination wedding in France, and we strongly recommend booking a visit if you’re planning a wedding over this way.

One of the “wings” of the old buildings (similar to an English barn) has been completely restored and revamped into an evening reception space for events and weddings, and it was here that we were tasked with providing a stunning focal point for the evening dancing.  

In consultation with the celebrating couple and their planner, we opted for a chequered dance floor design in black and white for the maximum “wow” factor. We created one as big as the space would allow, measuring an impressive 16ft x 14ft. We finished off the installation with sloped black edging (safety first!), and the whole thing looked stunning against a backdrop of chandeliers and stunning floral arrangements.

After setting up, we stayed around for a while to make sure everything was spot on, and we caught some of the early dancing action. It looked like it was gearing up to be a fantastic night of celebrations, so we departed early, ready to collect the equipment the following morning.

Quick side note on the floral arrangements: Silk Flowers France supplied them, and they were utterly incredible. We’ve been in the industry a while (nearly two decades), so it takes a lot to impress us, but their touches were so creative and thoughtful (and, most importantly, looked terrific). Their work on the evening entertainment space, where they covered the ceiling with an enchanting selection of artificial hanging plants, was our highlight.

While the event brief was minor for this particular wedding, we still loved coming back to this incredible venue and playing our small but meaningful part in creating a wonderful occasion.
