Fête24 Installs Striking Black & White Checkerboard Dance Floor for Wedding near Montauban

We recently had another fantastic opportunity to work alongside Perfect Day by Karen, this time creating a show-stopping dance floor centrepiece for an English wedding celebration at the incredible Domaine du Rodier (another new venue for us!). 

We installed a 24ft x 12ft black and white checkerboard dance floor that perfectly complemented the sail tent setting and delivered exactly the kind of bold visual impact that transforms any wedding reception into an unforgettable party space.

While it wasn’t the biggest job in the world, we feel our work had a tangible impact on proceedings, and it’s worth telling you a little more about what we did and how you can enjoy a similar setup for your French wedding celebration.

The black and white checkerboard pattern we selected for this celebration exemplified exactly why this particular dance floor style has become such a popular choice for couples seeking something distinctive. Measuring 24ft x 12ft, the floor provided ample space for guests to dance while creating that essential focal point that draws people onto the dance floor throughout the evening.

The bold checkerboard pattern really suits sail tent venues. The strong geometric design stands out beautifully against the softer hessian tones of the canvas tent without looking out of place. Instead of just having an empty space in the middle of the tent, the floor gives guests an obvious place to congregate when the music gets going, creating a proper party zone for the evening.

What made this setup work so well was how the Art Deco-style pattern immediately caught people's attention and got them gravitating towards it. There's something about a striking dance floor that just makes people want to get up and dance, which is obviously exactly what you want at a wedding reception.
