Fête24 Implements Spectacular Marquee Transformation for a High-End Private Party in Cannes

Here at Fête24, we absolutely love the variety that comes with working in the events industry. While we’re well-known for creating magical wedding settings in the South West of France, we relish the opportunity to bring our technical production skills to all kinds of celebrations, all across the country. 

Recently, we had the pleasure of heading back to the glamorous city of Cannes on the French Riviera to deliver a complete sound, lighting, and staging package for an exclusive private party.

The mission was to transform a standard 9m x 18m clear-span marquee into a breathtaking, high-end venue for one unforgettable night. It’s the kind of challenge we thrive on, combining technical know-how with creative flair to build an incredible atmosphere from the ground up. So, let’s tell you all about it!

Creating a Magical Atmosphere at a Cannes Party with Lighting Production

Lighting is fundamental to transforming any space, and for this event, we pulled out all the stops to create a truly immersive experience. The foundation of the design was a stunning canopy of fairy lights. We meticulously installed over 270 metres of them in the roof of the marquee, creating a magical, starry-night effect that immediately added a warm glow to the space.

But that was merely the ambient lighting. We still had to bring the party to life and, with that in mind, we installed a dynamic lighting array focused on and around the stage area. This included eight powerful 300W BSW moving head fixtures and vibrant LED pixel washes, all mounted on discreet tank traps. 

This setup allowed us to flood the stage and dance floor with energy and colour, shifting the mood in line with the music throughout the evening. The entire look was centred around a sleek, white DJ booth, which we rigged with an integrated LED TV screen for custom visuals.

Of course, a high-end experience is all in the details, so we used our wireless LED uplighters to bathe the exterior of the main house in a sophisticated-feeling golden/yellow hue and even used some subtly-placed pin spots to ensure guests could easily find the loos. It’s these small but thoughtful touches that never go unnoticed!

Fête24 Supplies Custom Stage for a Perfect Performance

The focal point of the marquee was the custom-built stage. Measuring 4m x 3m, it provided the perfect platform for the evening's entertainment. To match the event's luxurious theme, the stage was finished with a chic gold fascia and a pristine white carpet, creating a polished and professional look.

When it came to the audio setup, we supplied our punchy d&b audiotechnik Q-series PA system, renowned for its clarity and power, ensuring that the music sounded impeccable throughout the marquee. We also provided a professional Shure UR2 handheld wireless microphone hire package for any speeches or announcements. 

The DJ for the evening had a specific technical rider, and meeting these requirements is all part and parcel of the service for us. We supplied a full Pioneer DJ CDJ setup, including a pair of CDJ2000NXS2 players and a DJM900NXS2 mixer, along with a pair of d&b M4 monitors to ensure the DJ had everything they needed for a flawless set.
