Domaine de la Fauconnie: A Dreamy Dordogne Wedding Venue

Just a short drive from the city of Bergerac, Domaine de la Fauconnie enjoys a picture-perfect location in the heart of the Dordogne region (just 18 mins / 14.4km from Bergerac town center). As soon as you arrive at the venue, you don’t know what to look at – be it the rolling hills dotted with vineyards or the striking 18th-century manor that looks like it’s come straight out of a fairy tale. 

But as historic as it looks, don’t let the exterior fool you. Inside is luxurious accommodation for up to 25 overnight wedding guests, with modern bedroom suites blending perfectly with period features such as enormous overarching wooden beams. 

Ceremony Locations That Leave You Spoilt for Choice

Regarding your wedding ceremony, there are plenty of idyllic places to exchange vows. Having worked here ourselves, we recommend an outdoor ceremony at one of the many possible spots in the sprawling grounds. A popular location right in front of the entrance is a sizeable lawn space well-suited to hosting many chairs. 

However, we think a few other locations are even better. Firstly, there’s a purpose-built open-sided wooden gazebo (the Rotunda) that can host amazing ceremonies. We provide a small & discreet sound system for the speeches, with flowers adorning the ceiling and a lovely focal point for a wedding arch. There’s also a smaller outdoor area with a metal pergola that would work really well for smaller ceremonies & again if you required a speaker system with a wireless mic we can provide a compact, high quality sound system with perfect clarity (using our d&b Q series PA systems) 

Host an Unforgettable Wedding Reception

Once again, you have options for your cocktail hour and wedding reception party. You could host both outdoors, with the swimming pool terrace area well-suited to the cocktail hour. And then you could hire a stretch tent for your wedding meal and dancing, we have built both 7.5m X 10 & 15m X 10m stretch tents on the grass before (they look stunning especially when finished off with festoon) 

Alternatively, you could use the stunning glass and iron-clad, Eiffel-inspired Orangery. It’s an air-conditioned, purpose-built event space that looks utterly stunning, with three gigantic chandeliers and a gorgeous blank canvas upon which you can put your own stamp.

The Orangery is the most common place where live bands & DJ’s perform - We highly recommend using wireless LED uplighters inside & we often provide a stainless steel mobile bar to sit just outside the doorway for pre-drinks before dinner for guests.  

There’s capacity (both in the Orangery and elsewhere) for up to 200 guests, meaning you can host even the most extravagant wedding parties at Domaine de la Fauconnie. Better still, this is an exclusive-use venue, meaning you’ll have the entire estate to yourselves for your wedding celebrations, giving you the utmost privacy.
