We recently enjoyed working at a truly breathtaking wedding venue – Chateau de Goudourville.

This 11th-century castle does transport you back in time, with many original features remaining, including knights in armour, imposing banqueting halls, and twirling stone staircases. That’s without mentioning its elevated position above rural farmland, delivering stunning views of the Garonne Valley. Few other places in France can compete as a whimsical fairytale location for a wedding.

Putting our love for this venue aside for one moment, we were enlisted to deliver our event production services for the wedding of an English couple. So, let’s give you a little more information about our work and how we helped pull off a stunning wedding production.

Dance Floor and Festoon Lighting Package Provided for Chateau Wedding Reception in Tarn-et-Garonne

As a multi-discipline equipment rental company, we’re often tasked with providing different elements of wedding production, and this event proved no exception. Our focus was on the dinner and dancing element of the wedding reception.

Of course, you can’t have dancing without a dance floor. So, our first job was to supply and install a dance floor. We supplied one of our chequered black and white dance floors, which, as it happened, was a perfect choice for this venue as it matched the black and white chequered flooring in the impressive Guards Room nearby. We set it up in the outdoor courtyard designated for the festivities.

Then, it was on to the next element of our hire package: supplying and installing a small array of festoon lights. These were draped overhead within the courtyard in a criss-cross pattern over the area with tables and chairs. They provided a lovely, warm ambience for guests pausing from the dancing to chat with other guests or take on much-needed refreshments!
