Black & White Checkerboard Dance Floor Hire | Wedding at Château Fengari

On 13 May 2026, Fête24 supplied a 14ft × 14ft gloss black and white checkerboard dance floor, a black DJ booth, and a last-minute wireless lighting installation for Isadora and Hugo’s wedding at Château Fengari. Working alongside wedding planner Patricia De Sousa from Donarosa Wedding, we stepped in after another lighting supplier withdrew shortly before the wedding, ensuring everything was ready in time for the celebration.

Last-Minute Lighting Rescue at Château Fengari

The original booking was for the checkerboard dance floor and black DJ booth. Closer to the date, the couple and planner were let down by their lighting supplier. We were asked at short notice to provide a wireless lighting package for the château exterior and outdoor grounds so the evening atmosphere could still go ahead as planned.

Being able to adapt quickly when another supplier dropped out meant the couple still got the exact evening atmosphere they had planned.

Installing a Dance Floor on Outdoor Gravel

The 14 × 14 ft gloss checkerboard dance floor was installed outdoors on a relatively flat gravel surface next to the château. Setting up on gravel requires careful levelling and protection underneath so the floor stays completely flat and stable throughout the evening. Access was straightforward and we were able to park close to the installation area.

Delivery and setup took place on the morning of the wedding, giving the planner and other suppliers plenty of time to prepare the rest of the venue.

Wedding Production at Château Fengari

The bold black and white checkerboard floor combined with the matching black DJ booth created a strong visual centre for the evening reception. The wireless lighting then highlighted the architecture of the château and defined the outdoor spaces after dark.
