Backline Hire and Event Production Services Provided to Château Wedding Near Cognac

Just a few months ago, we had the absolute pleasure of working at No. 3 The Chateau, an incredibly luxurious and exclusive events venue located just outside of Cognac, near the village of Salles-d’Angles.

Bought by the current owners in 2015, this venue has been on a long journey of restoration, and we can report that all the blood, sweat, and tears that have gone into this place have certainly paid off.

Set among acres of vineyards, this former Cognac distillery has everything for the perfect wedding day. From the uber-chic swimming pool with in-pool sun loungers to the beautiful gardens with lavender-lined paths, the attention to detail at this place is second to none.

We were brought to work at this incredible wedding by Chatelaine Events after having already worked with owner Julia at another celebration over the summer. To get the call again so soon was so rewarding and a testament to the hard work we’ve put into establishing ourselves as a new event production company in Southwest France.

Fête24 Provides Extensive Event Equipment Hire Services to Cognac Wedding

Our event brief was primarily focused on the evening entertainment segment of the wedding celebrations. Chatelaine Events had booked a British DJ, saxophonist, and percussionist.

Obviously, each element required different aspects in terms of backline and sound equipment. On the DJ side of things, we went with a complete Pioneer DJ package, including a couple of Pioneer CDJ2000NX2s and a DJM900NX mixer. We then complemented this setup with our trusty d&b audiotechnik Q7 sound system and an RCF735 active DJ monitor.

For the live performers, we added even more high-quality sound equipment to the lineup. We supplied wireless IEMs from Sennheiser, a broad spectrum of wired microphones, and a Midas M32R digital live mixing desk for control.

We were on-site early doing sound checks, and everything went smoothly come performance time, with the dance floor remaining lively from dusk until dawn!

We also had a little bit of lighting work at this wedding, too.

We were tasked with creating the ambient lighting in the dinner and dancing area. So, we supplied and installed 24 wireless LED uplighters at strategic locations around the perimeter of the space. We set them to illuminate the walls in a soft, off-white colour that perfectly matched the colours and tones of the décor elements.

It was also a perfect match for the stunning floral arrangements, which we simply have to mention quickly. They were provided by Silk Flowers France and looked absolutely gorgeous. They set the whole space off perfectly, and it was great to augment them a little with our lighting package (not that they needed any help!).

We’re pleased to report that the event was a success, and the happy couple and their guests had the best day. We’re looking forward to working at this stunning venue and with the Chatelaine Events crew during next year’s wedding season.
